Good morning ❤️❄️️
We had the most perfect, beautiful Fall I can remember. Now it’s time for some snow 😊
I love it! There’s something magical about it! But I have to admit, I’ve been a little scared. I got kind of depressed last winter, feeling very limited and stuck inside. Snow does impact me more now that I use a wheelchair, and even when I take a step it’s a lot more slippery and scary. I didn’t handle that adjustment super well.
So I need a new angle this year. I’m gonna make a list of everything wonderful about snow and winter. You can’t look at it as keeping you from your normal life activities. It is a SEASON (literally) and it SHOULD be spent differently than your summer time. But why on earth should that mean it’s bad?
Discover and enjoy the magical things about winter! I think we can all agree, hot chocolate does NOT taste right in the middle of summer, and snuggling in a blanket by the fire is nowhere near as satisfying when it’s hot outside. I can’t do a lot of the popular winter sports, but I can definitely get out there for some fun! I’m gonna ditch the chair, scoot around on my hands and knees, and I’m totally gonna try sledding 😃
So, enjoy my little quick-thought-up list, add to it, get excited for the possibilities this season. Most importantly, remember to fully be in the moment; for there you can always find beauty and things to be grateful for.
Hands down the best part of this morning was the joy and excitement in my little boys’ eyes when they woke up to a white world outside the window. What did I say? MAGIC. ✨❄️
Happy Winter!!!
